A daily square with a life of its own

Bonetta began with a simple idea: make daily essentials something to look forward to.

Working with the founders in New York, I developed the brand identity, packaging and web design for a chocolate product containing creatine and vitamins. The challenge was to bring its functional purpose into a world people would enjoy spending time in.

“The Good Life, Squared” became the thread connecting the project. Coffee before the day begins, a game of tennis, an evening with someone close - familiar moments that give a daily square of chocolate a place in everyday life.

Two characters became the heart of the brand

I created a pair of characters and developed them across a series of illustrations. Their expressions, gestures and interactions give Bonetta a personality that carries from one scene to the next.

They ride a scooter with chocolate, meet at a café, take a break after tennis and settle into the sofa. Chocolate becomes part of each story: something to carry, share or make a little room for.

The illustrations were developed as a system that could keep growing. A small composition works on an individual wrapper, while larger scenes introduce new situations across the packaging and website. The characters remain recognisable as their surroundings change.

The story continues around the pack

Dark and Milk share the same visual structure, with colour distinguishing the two varieties. Individual wrappers carry the central character composition and the pouch side panels reveal additional scenes.

Each surface contributes to the same story, giving the packaging details to discover beyond its front.

From packaging to a world online

The website extends the visual language through shaped photography, framed buttons and illustrated sections.

On the product page, scrolling moves through three everyday chapters: morning coffee, time on the tennis court and an evening at home. The characters connect these moments, while product details and selection controls sit alongside the story.

Identity, packaging and web design come together around the same pair of personalities - giving Bonetta a recognisable world with room for more stories.
